Archive for Jenna Fischer

Prior to the Big Baby Episode, some Office
fans thought Baby Halpert’s name would come from the Office universe (Michael Scott or Dwight or Mifflin). While that didn’t happen, Jenna Fischer says the name of her first on-screen baby with Jim (John Krasinski) – Cecelia Marie Halpert – is even closer to her personal life than she imagined.

Talking to People.com, Fischer revealed that the week when The Office was filming “The Delivery” was also when she became an aunt for the very first time.

“Literally the day we shot Pam’s going to the hospital, my sister was going to the hospital,” she says, “and the same day we shot me coming home from the hospital, my sister came home from the hospital. It was crazy!

Fischer, 36, adds that her dad, who coincidentally shares the same name with her on-screen hubby, had one daughter going through it for real and another faking it.

The timing had Fischer lobbying to The Office writers to name her on-screen baby Cecelia Marie, the name of her first niece.

“I got to name my baby!” says Fischer, who successfully lobbied The Office writers to use the name Cecelia. “I said I would really love to name the baby after my niece, so I did.”

The real challenge, however, was not letting anyone in on the secret. She wanted to wait until her family saw “The Delivery” episode themselves.

She explains: “I haven’t told my parents and will let them watch the episode. I’m just going to sit by the phone and they are going to be watching it in Missouri, so they see it two hours ahead, and I’m just going to time it out and sit by the phone when the part comes on because I know I’m going to get a screaming phone call!”

The Office: Pam’s Delivery Moved Up a Week

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

The Office
will welcome baby Pam / baby Jim a week sooner.

Instead of airing a two-part story over two weeks for Pam’s (Jenna Fischer) delivery, the two episodes will now air as an hour-long show on March 4, the show’s first after its two-week Winter Olympics hiatus.

According to NBC, the first half of the hour (”The Delivery Part 1″) will feature Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam waiting as long as possible to go to the hospital after contractions start – some complication with insurance, maybe – so they can have more time there after the baby is born.

Dutifully, the Dunder Mifflin people try to help by distracting her from the pain.

On the second part (”The Delivery Part 2″) will find Michael (Steve Carell) nervous as hell as he awaits news of the birth. Judging from how invested he was on the Office couple’s Niagara wedding, he’ll probably barge into the delivery room itself.

Elsewhere on the second part, Andy (Ed Helms) gets jealous when Erin (Ellie Kemper) goes out to lunch with Kevin (Brian Baumgartner). The Office showrunner Paul Lieberstein previously revealed that the big Andy-Erin date will

take place on the show’s March 11 episode. Does this mean the second part of this two-hour affair?

When The Office returns this week before its two-week break with “Manager and Salesman” Scranton is eager to welcome Sabre CEO Jo Bennett (Kathy Bates), which so far we’ve only seen via webcam. When she finds out there are two branch managers, however, she thinks either Michael or Jim should return to being a salesman.

The Office – Dwight won’t deliver Pam’s baby

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

But might the office staff get more involved than that? After all, Pam and Jim’s decision to delay the inevitable would seem to run the risk of having Baby Halpert enter the world right there alongside a box of Dunder Mifflin’s best bright white bond.

“I can’t imagine she’s going to have the baby without the entire office involved,” Jenna Fischer told Fancast. “I feel like that is her fate. She can’t get married or have a baby without all of these people looming.”

Even scarier a prospect is that should Pam not leave for the hospital in time, the farm-raised Dwight might fancy himself capable of birthing the baby.

“Oh god. The Pam inside of me is screaming at that thought,” Fischer said when asked about such a scenario. “I think she would rather drive through a hurricane [than let that happen].

“We are not letting Dwight deliver this baby,” she reiterated, “though it would be his dream come true, I am sure.”

Regardless, Pam and Jim’s firstborn will be arriving later than it should, seeing as the mom-to-be technically is due in February.

“[Pam and Jim] didn’t factor in NBC’s Olympics coverage when they got accidentally pregnant,” Fischer said. “How dare they!”

The Office – March 4th Episode Description

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

NBC will broadcast the highly anticipated baby episode of “The Office” as a special one-hour show on Thursday, March 4 (9-10 p.m. ET) rather than as two separate half-hour episodes over two weeks as previously announced.

In the special hour-long episode of “The Office” titled “The Delivery Part 1 and 2,” Pam’s (Jenna Fischer) contractions begin but she and Jim (John Krasinski) are determined to wait it out as long as possible so they can have more time at the hospital. Meanwhile the rest of the office tries to distract Pam from the pain with food and entertainment.

In the second half hour, Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell) anxiously waits for Pam and Jim’s baby to be born. Back at the office, Erin (Ellie Kemper) makes Andy (Ed Helms) jealous when she has lunch with Kevin (Brian Baumgartner).

Will Dwangela Be Back on ‘The Office’?

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

Before Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) said their I do’s on The Office, there was another couple that was headed in the same direction – Andy (Ed Helms) and Angela (Angela Kinsey) – that is, until a big man came between them and ruined everything. Now that that’s over, some Office fans are asking if there can be hope for the then illicit love affair between Angela and Dwight (Rainn Wilson)! After all, Andy has a new love interest (but not before going on all the honeymoon trips all by himself).

The short answer would be: yes! Says Kinsey herself at the NBC Golden Globes party.

“I hear rumblings that they’re gonna find their way back, but it might take a little while,” said Kinsey. “I’m all along for the ride. I wanna find Dwight, that tall geeky man. I want it. I want it!”

Not only that, Kinsey adds to E! Online that she thinks the disproportionate couple (Angela is diminutive and Dwight is very big) are even soul mates!

“Rainn came up to me, day one of filming and said, ‘When are we gonna get it on again?’ I said, ‘I dunno, Rainn, but let’s make it happen!’ So Rainn and I really believe that Dwight and Angela are the soul mates.”

Early last season, the two were sneaking out all the time while Andy was all-too-busy preparing for his and Angela’s wedding (she was even able to manipulate him into booking it at Schrute Farms B&B). At one point, Phyllis revealed the affair to everyone except Andy, later culminating into a duel and both dumping her.

Next week we start shooting the birth episodes! I’ve read part one and I love it. I know what we are having!!!! Here’s a crazy coincidence – my sister, Emily, is also due to give birth next week. My parents will be having both of their daughters in labor – one real and one fake!

I know not everyone loved the clip show tonight but I have to say I liked it. It brought back a lot of happy memories of working with a great cast and crew over these many years. And, it made me want to go back and watch some old episodes – like Health Care with all the fake diseases!

The Office: Things to Expect in 2010

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

So far, this season of The Office had been marked with extreme happiness (Jim and Pam’s wedding) and extreme uncertainty (DM bankruptcy). In between there were funny stuff (the murder game episode) and not-so-funny things (Scott’s tots).

With some weeks to go before the NBC comedy returns next year, let’s list down the five things The Office fans can expect next year.

1. Jim and Pam’s Baby

Of course after the success of Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam’s (Jenna Fischer) wedding, the next step is the baby, set to be born sometime in February. The Office people have said that the baby won’t be a big part of the show (it’s The Office, after all), but it’s still exciting how a little Jim or a little Pam will figure into their whole relationship.

Though there are those fans who are of the opinion that the Jim and Pam relationship (which was several seasons in the making) reached a plateau when they got married. Maybe the baby and the new pressures that come with it will revitalize this Office couple?

2. Erin and Andy

Bottom of Form

Can Andy (Ed Helms) and Erin (Ellie Kemper) compare with Jim and Pam? Probably not, but just the same, with the resident Office goofball couple already happily coupled, we need our constant flirting fix! This was weird/awkward in the making, but something tells us it’s going to be a nice enough thing after a while.

Erin as a character shows a lot of promise – something deathly obvious with her Subtle Sexuality webisodes with Kelly (Mindy Kaling) – and with her unraveling, she’s definitely a perfect match for Andy. They can sing/invent songs while picking stuff in the vending machine or something.

3. The Buyout
Top of Form

Bottom of Form

OK, this storyline has been a real downer, but we know it’s not going to happen. Now that  a buyout is going to resolve it, it’s still fun to see how this whole thing’s going to play out. For one thing, we know that them Dunder Mifflin executives are getting the axe, including David Wallace, who’d been there since the beginning.

4. Dwight’s Diabolical Plan
Top of Form

Bottom of Form

As Dwight (Rainn Wilson) wrote himself on his Diabolical Blog, the
plan is on hold for the holidays – which explains why he was up to no shenanigans on the Christmas episode. As we have seen, however, Dwight is very scary/downright menacing when he sets his sight on something. So far we have seen, among others, a bugged mallard as a decoy and a flawed employee of the month program. What will he come up with next? With Ryan (BJ Novak) in his team, sky’s the limit.

5. Oscar’s Crush

Bottom of Form

We only got a teeny winy peek at Matt, that cute gay warehouse guy Oscar (Oscar Nunez) has been eyeing, and it has definitely left us craving for more.

The Office returns January 21 with possibly a clip show.

‘The Office’ Christmas Episode: Two Santa’s?

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

We’ve seen the pictures from this week’s The Office Christmas episode, and from the synopsis we know that Michael (Steve Carell) will be mighty pissed when Jim (John Krasinski) allows Phyllis (Phyllis Smith) to be Santa at the office Christmas party.

Quoting a source, E! Online assures us that this season’s Christmas episode will be at par with previous seasons’. Apparently, the big continuing bankruptcy storyline is set to continue without fail, so understandably, everyone in Scranton is a little down in the dumps.

So what Jim teams up Dwight (Rainn Wilson) to bring in some holiday cheer, so not just one, but two Santa’s come to the branch – “much to Phyllis’ dismay.” We will also get to see Pam (Jenna Fischer) in a little cute red dress that shows off her not very noticeable baby bump. As for Dwight, he’s sporting the elf ears again ala season 2.

And in something totally unrelated to Christmas, Oscar (Oscar Nuñez) has a secret crush (which is about time, writers!).
